Brief
Mandarin Oriental approached us to design a menu for their new rooftop bar in Mayfair. The brief was to take it from concept to completion, creating something that aligned seamlessly with the Asian influence of the ABar lounge on a lower floor, while feeling suitably premium and considered for an exclusive audience.
Solution
We designed a premium menu cover with a subtle mottled finish, drawing inspiration from the sky and clouds that informed much of the interior design. Discreet screw fixings were introduced to allow menus to be updated with ease, without compromising the aesthetic. Internally, carefully selected papers supported a pared-back, luxury feel, allowing the cocktails, wines, spirits, and food to take centre stage.
